We
are a Delhi based NGO working for the development of the artisans
of India by taking Information Technology to them. We firmly believe
that if India has to develop than we would have to take IT to
the people at the grass root level.
With
this in mind, we are undertaking following activities to encouraging
design innovation and ICT use among various artisans groups and
enterprenuers.Thereby helping them in developing direct marketing
channel for the marketing of their products throgh Internet.

To train and educate artisans about the use of computer, Internet
and other ICT Tools like CAD/CAM.
- To
help them use ICT as a tool of direct marketing and better product
design and development.
- To
conduct hands-on, design training workshops and other programs
for the artisans.
- To
develop an online network of Business Development Service (BDS)
provider for the artisans.
- To
increase access to market knowledge and new production techniques
so that artisansal produce become more marketable.
- To
give them technical and marketing inputs by national and international
experts.
- To
use world wide web and e-mail as tool of new product information
dissemination and direct marketing.
- To
organise exposure and awareness workshops and visits for encouraging
them to try new and innovative designs, methods and technologies.
- To
assist them develop design directory, catalogue etc and train
them how ICT can be helpful in design development, storage and
dissemination.
- To
develop an online platform in the form of a web site for information
dissemination and interaction among member artisans and BDS
providers.
